Travel by rail with a KLM ticket

For travel to and from Belgium, you can make part of your trip on the train instead of on the plane. It’s a quick and comfortable way to get to your destination.

On this page:

Your train ticket

You can pick up your train ticket with reserved seats at special counters at your departure station. Be sure to allow for possible queues.

  • Departure from Schiphol
You will receive your train ticket upon presenting your KLM ticket at the NS counter at the station.
  • Departure from Brussels-South
You will receive your train ticket upon presenting your KLM ticket at the Air France check-in counter. This will eliminate having to check in at the airport. Please note: The deadline for checking in for the train is 15 minutes before departure; if you do not make it, your trip will be cancelled.
  • Departure from Antwerp (Antwerp Central Rail)
You will receive your train ticket upon presenting your KLM ticket at the NMBS counter at the station.
  • Departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle
You will receive your train ticket upon presenting your KLM ticket at the tgvair counter at the TGV station. Please note: The deadline for checking in for the train is 15 minutes before departure; if you do not make it, your trip will be cancelled.

Transferring and checking in

From train to plane
When you arrive at the airport, you can check in at the KLM or Air France check-in counters where you can also drop off your hold baggage.
As usual, you can also choose to use online check-in for your flight. This check-in procedure does not apply to the part of your trip that you make by train.

Especially for train travel to and from Brussels-South
When traveling to and from Brussels-South, you only have to check in once for your entire trip: at the airport where your trip begins or at the Air France check-in counter at the Brussels-South station.

Baggage
You will need to take your baggage yourself from the train to the airport and check it in at the relevant counter. If you will be taking the train after your flight, do not forget to pick up your baggage at the carrousel before you board the train.

Receiving Flying Blue Miles

You will also receive Flying Blue Miles for your train trip but you will have to claim them yourself after your trip at the special Flying Blue page: ‘Claim missing Miles’.

In the train

Between these stations, you travel in a First Class Air France car in a high-speed train (TGV). This train also has a restaurant car where you can buy refreshments during your trip. You can find more information about the service provided in the train at the NSHispeed website (english only).

Between Amsterdam and Antwerp Central Station
