75% Elite Bonus
Your Gold membership gains you a 75% Elite bonus* for each flight you take with KLM, Air France, Kenya Airways, Air Europa or any SkyTeam airlines.
For example for a round-trip Paris to Mexico City in Business Class, you earn :
- 11 432 Miles according to distance flown
- 5 716 Miles according to Business Class (50% of distance flown)
- 8 574 Miles according to Gold Elite bonus (75% of distance flown)
25 722 total Award Miles and 17 148 Level Miles
* Bonus calculated on base Miles (Award Miles before application of class of service bonus). Elite Bonus Miles do not count as Level Miles.

This service does not deal with Award tickets bookings.

When paying the full fare currently in effect, an economy class seat will be provided for all full-fare reservations on long-distance flights, except in the case of unforeseen operational circumstances. This offer does not apply to Award tickets and on aircraft with fewer than 100 seats.
* For Flying Blue Gold Elite members residing in the USA, this service is offered on Air France and KLM long distance flights only
Priority reservation waitlist
If your desired class of service is not available when booking travel, you have priority status on the reservation waitlist (provided waitlists are accepted on the flight and/or in your desired class).
This offer does not apply to Award tickets.
Preferred seating
When you make your booking, you can reserve one of a number of select seats in Economy Class that offer extra comfort on intercontinental flights. You can choose from these options:
- Economy Comfort (€80 to €150 one-way depending on the flight)
- Extra legroom
- Seat in a row of two
If you have already bought your ticket, you can still change your seat and enjoy preferred seating:

- By phone
- At the airport
We will make every effort to ensure that you get your preferred seating, but please note that these seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Priority check-in and transfers
Whatever your class of travel, you have access to KLM, Air France, Kenya Airways and Air Europa Business Class check-in counters and Elite transfer desks.
Exclusive check-in counters.
You can check in at priority positions at most airports simply by showing your Flying Blue Gold Elite Card. Priority check-in positions include:
- Aeromexico - Clase Premier counters
- Air France – Business Class counters
- Alitalia - Magnifica / Prima Class counters
- CSA Czech Airlines - Business Class counters
- Delta - First Class / Medallion counters
- Kenya Airways-Business Class & Elite check in counters
- KLM – World Business Class SM / Europe Select counters
- Korean Air - Morning Calm / Prestige counters.
Elite Transfer desks at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol
Free transfers between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports by Air France coaches.
Priority airport standby
You receive priority status on your requested flight's standby list (Some SkyTeam Airlines apply specific conditions)
Extra baggage allowance
- 10 kg extra baggage allowance on KLM, Air France, Kenya Airways and Air Europa operated flights, in addition to your normal class of service baggage allowance.*
- Baggage protection: your baggage is protected by a heavy-duty plastic film. This complimentary service is offered on long distance flights departing from Paris- Charles de Gaulle Airport.
* This extra baggage allowance is not available on flights where the baggage "piece concept" applies (baggage allowance determined by the number and dimension of baggage items).
Access to lounges
Time to relax. You and your guest have access to our airport lounges* located throughout the world. These lounges were specially designed for you and your needs as one of today’s travellers. Most are completely equipped and provided with internet connections to let you get your work done efficiently. But best of all, they’re also the perfect place to sit back and recharge your batteries.
- when you travel:
- and either depart or make a same-day transfer on an international flight operated by KLM, Air France,
Kenya Airways, Air Europa, Air Caledonie or a SkyTeam airline**
- on a domestic Air France flight departing from Paris Charles de Gaulle
- on a domestic KLM flight departing from Amsterdam Schiphol
- on an international SkyTeam flight that arrives at Terminal 2C at Paris Charles de Gaulle
- on an international SkyTeam flight to Amsterdam Schiphol, Dubai, Glasgow, Houston, Johannesburg or
Toronto (access limited to KLM Crown lounges) - One guest can accompany a Flying Blue Platinum or Gold cardholder on the condition that this guest is also travelling on a SkyTeam flight.

**Flying Blue Gold members residing in the U.S. have access to AIR FRANCE and KLM lounges if their flight is operated by a SkyTeam airline.
*** Access to all lounge facilities can be purchased for your guests at the lounge reception for 5,000 Miles or a credit card payment of €35.
Priority boarding
Simply present your Flying Blue Gold Elite Card to board at your convenience for more time to locate your seat and to store your carry-on luggage.
- Air France offers this benefit on international flights only.
- Aeromexico offers this benefit on all flights except between Mexico City and Monterrey as well as Mexico City and Guadalajara.
- Delta does not offer this benefit on Delta Shuttle flights, Delta Connection flights and SONG flights.
Priority baggage handling
Special baggage tags indicate checked luggage belonging to SkyTeam Elite Plus* members so that your bags are delivered expeditiously to the baggage-claim area.
