KLM will fly you to Amsterdam ‘the capital of Dutch Design’ and offers you the possibility to stay at the quirky Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy in the trendy Eastern Docklands area. More than fifty designers, artists and architects have contributed to transform this former migrant hotel from the twenties in a hotel with 117 different rooms. The eye-catcher is the restaurant/bar in the middle of the hotel by Richard Hutten, one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers. Lloyd Hotel

The Lloyd Hotel is a new Dutch hotel centrally situated in the fashionable heart
of Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands Area. This remarkable hotel offers an experience in itself. Renowned Dutch architects, designers and artists have transformed this monument dating from 1921 in a hotel where many inhabitants of Amsterdam, international artists, tourists and business people feel at home.

All 116 rooms in the Lloyd Hotel – ranging from one to five stars – offer a different experience. These entail a difference in design, surface area and therefore rate. Much attention has been given to the interior of the rooms. A number of exciting Dutch Designers (Claudy Jongstra, Hella Jongerius, De Bazel, Marcel Wanders, Richard Hutten, to name but a few) have created several of the furniture pieces. All guests can enjoy free high speed internet access as well as satellite television with a unique selection of channels. Our full menu is available in your room with our 24 hour room service.

Platform21

Platform21 has more to offer than ever: it’s now a laboratory and workshop as well as an exhibition space. Watch a designer at work or make something yourself; attend a lecture or give one; or exhibit your creations. Platform21 schedules events but also welcomes proposals. Design changes mean there’s always room for good ideas. The interior is modular, and Roland Buschmann’s furniture goes from bench to table to cabinet at the flick of a wrist. And Platform21 is a better spot than ever for curious minds to rendezvous and have a drink. www.platform21.com
